About the event
We know all about Sri Lanka's economic past, so what does its future look like?
In collaboration with ODI Global Arutha hosted a forum for emerging researchers on 21st April.
The first session, led by Dr. Ganeshan Wignaraja, explored how Sri Lanka can sustain transformative growth - reflecting on its economic past while identifying pathways toward a stronger future.
This was followed by Amb. Ravinatha Aryasinha, who highlighted the critical role of early-career researchers and the value of their contributions.
We were also joined by Dr. Thamali Ransinghe, Anishka De Zylva, and Rehana Thowfeek, who shared insights on the key challenges faced by early-career researchers. The discussion covered practical ways to navigate these challenges, including the importance of mentorship, effective communication, self-advocacy, and developing one’s own voice.
