We bring a political economy approach to public finance. The 2022 economic crisis was rooted in long-standing public financial mismanagement, especially poor debt management and weak tax collection. Through research, analysis and data we provide clarity on the country's debt dynamics and investigate Sri Lanka’s tax system in depth.

We leverage this approach to ensure that our recommendations are not only technically sound but also politically viable. Examining how both government, states and non-state actors influence policy and reform, and how internal bureaucratic dynamics shape outcomes.
