Economic Civic Education

The 2022 economic crisis exposed how deeply economic decisions influence the daily lives of all Sri Lankans. This also triggered widespread interest  in economic information that could help citizens understand how economic stability or instability shapes their everyday lives.

Our work responds to this need by advancing economic civic education. We make economics accessible for everyone by connecting economics to people’s everyday lives. Through workshops, training and curricula our work aims to equip citizens with the knowledge to understand, interpret and question economic developments.

We believe that everyone deserves the right to knowledge that can inform and help shape stable economies that are responsive to the people it is meant to serve.
